These terms govern your relationship with The Nanny Academy. Please read them carefully before applying to or enrolling on our programme.

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to all individuals who apply to, enrol in, or otherwise engage with The Nanny Academy ("the Academy", "we", "us"). By submitting an application or accepting a place on the programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. The Programme

The Nanny Academy is a 12-week residential training programme based in Cambridge, England. Every element is designed with one goal: to produce exceptional, employment-ready nannies who stand apart in the professional childcare market.

Students train alongside industry experts, specialists in their fields who bring real-world authority to the classroom. By the end of the programme, every graduate leaves with a professional portfolio, interview confidence, and a certified skill set that families can trust.

  • Placement support through our in-house agency
Programme content

Training is delivered by expert practitioners across a broad range of professional childcare disciplines. We reserve the right to amend programme content, timetables, tutors and guest speakers without notice, provided the overall standard and scope of training is maintained.

3. Applications & Enrolment
  • Applications are subject to our selection process and do not guarantee a place
  • Offers are conditional upon satisfactory references, DBS check and identity verification
  • Places are confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit payment
  • We reserve the right to withdraw an offer if information provided is inaccurate or misleading
  • Cohort sizes are intentionally small to maintain quality
4. Fees & Payment
Course fee

The current programme fee is £17,000 per student, which includes tuition, certifications (First Aid, Safeguarding, DBS) and placement support.

Important — accommodation is not included

The £17,000 programme fee does not include accommodation or food. Accommodation is an optional extra charged at £250 per week (£3,000 over the 12-week programme), payable in addition to the course fee. Food and all meals are entirely the student's own responsibility and are not provided.

Uniform

Academy uniform is included in the programme fee and will be provided to all students prior to the start of the programme. Students are required to provide their own appropriate footwear, as shoes are not included.

Payment schedule
  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place (amount confirmed at time of offer)
  • The balance is due no later than 28 days prior to the programme start date
  • Accommodation fees are payable in full prior to the start date, or by weekly arrangement at the Academy's discretion
  • Payment plans may be available at the Academy's discretion, enquire at time of application

All fees are stated in British pounds sterling (GBP). International students are responsible for any bank transfer charges.

5. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation by student
  • More than 60 days before start date — full refund of balance paid (deposit retained)
  • 30–60 days before start date — 50% refund of balance paid (deposit retained)
  • Fewer than 30 days before start date — no refund
Cancellation by the Academy

In the unlikely event we cancel a programme, enrolled students will receive a full refund of all fees paid including the deposit. We will not be liable for additional costs incurred independently (such as travel or accommodation).

6. Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful manner at all times. The Academy reserves the right to remove a student from the programme without refund in cases of:

  • Misconduct or behaviour that endangers the safety or welfare of others
  • Dishonesty, fraud or falsification of information
  • Persistent failure to meet programme requirements
  • Violation of the Academy's code of conduct or accommodation rules
  • Any conduct that brings the Academy into disrepute
7. Accommodation & Residential Terms
Accommodation is not included in the programme fee

Residential accommodation is an optional extra, charged at £250 per week, in addition to the £17,000 course fee. Food and all meals are not provided and are entirely the student's own responsibility.

Students who take up accommodation agree to:

  • Treat the property and all furnishings with care and respect
  • Adhere to house rules issued at the start of the programme
  • Report any damage promptly, as the cost of wilful damage may be recovered
  • Vacate accommodation on the agreed departure date
8. Certifications

First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS certifications are facilitated through approved third-party providers. The Academy cannot guarantee certification outcomes where a student fails an assessment or is deemed unsuitable by the issuing body.

9. Placement Services

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates receive placement support through our in-house agency, including introductions to vetted families, role matching and transition support.

  • Placement is not guaranteed but we endeavour to support every graduate
  • The Academy acts as an introductory agent and is not a party to employment contracts between graduates and families
  • Placement timelines vary depending on role availability and candidate suitability
10. Intellectual Property

All training materials, workbooks, guides and content produced by The Nanny Academy are our intellectual property. Students may not reproduce, share or commercialise Academy materials without prior written consent.

11. Photographs & Marketing

With your prior consent, we may use photographs or video footage from the programme for marketing purposes. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us in writing.

12. Liability

The Nanny Academy's liability is limited to the total fees paid by the student. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings or employment opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Norland Disclaimer

Louenna and Jess graduated from Norland College in 2005. Their advice, views and guidance should not be taken as being endorsed by Norland or representative of its current training, research or advice on best practice.
